Dynamics 365 Evolutionary and Support
This evolutionary project was developed for a company that recently adopted Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and required customization, definition of business processes, data exports, and ongoing support. I actively participated in this initiative for one year, focusing on areas including Account, Sales, Purchases, Inventory, Budget, and Production.
The project’s core methodology involved gathering requirements from product owners and end-users. The team first evaluated if these requirements could be satisfied through functional configuration and parameterization or by proposing alternative process flows. In scenarios where these approaches were insufficient, targeted customizations were implemented.
Additionally, the customer’s business analytics team required operational data for evaluation purposes. To meet this need, relevant data was exported and managed through Dynamics 365’s data entities feature.
Throughout the project, various types of user stories were addressed:
- Feature Customization: Developed custom solutions when users faced limitations within Dynamics 365. This included adding functionalities, enabling persistence of specific data, and implementing new validation flows to enhance ERP capabilities.
- Issue Resolution: Identified and resolved problems such as incorrect calculations, malfunctioning reports, and unexpected system behaviors to ensure seamless ERP performance.
- Flow Analysis and Proposal: Conducted comprehensive analysis based on user requirements, designed optimal solutions, and implemented recommended process flows, significantly enhancing overall operational efficiency.
